Therapeutic Modalities I Use:

  • Attachment Theory: Developed by Bowlby and Ainsworth, this theory explains how early relationships shape our beliefs about ourselves, relationships, and the world.

  • Psychodynamic therapy: This approach focuses on how past experiences influence present behaviors and feelings by exploring the subconscious mind.

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): By recognizing and changing negative thought patterns, CBT helps in altering emotions and behaviors through techniques like positive self-talk, behavioural activation, and cognitive re-framing.

  • Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT): DBT promotes striving for positive change through modules like Distress Tolerance, Mindfulness, Interpersonal Effectiveness and Emotion Regulation.

  • Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT): This therapy, rooted in Attachment Science, seeks to identify unmet emotional needs, process emotions, and develop a more secure sense of self and relationships.

  • I also incorporate Schema Therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention (Evidence Based for OCD), as well as Inner Child work.
